Yvonne Morales

August 21, 1940 — March 17, 2013

Yvonne Darrell Murray Morales was born on August 21, 1940 to Bert Darrell and Connie Jean (Pike) Murray. Yvonne's heavenly Father and Savior called her home on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Yvonne became a registered LVN and worked for many years at area hospitals, nursing homes and as a private duty nurse to support her family. Yvonne was a Christian woman who was waiting and ready to be called home to be with her heavenly Father and Savior. To be reunited with those family members who had already been called home; her parents, her husband Melvin Morales, her son Nick, a great granddaughter Rebecka, and her brother-in-law John Hosetter. Yvonne had a strong faith and belief in her heavenly Father and with that faith and knowledge, knowing that He would comfort and look after her family, she was able to leave behind her son Rick Morales and wife Robin, daughter Tina Oswalt and partner Larry, son Joe Morales and wife Rhonda, all of Midlothian, and son Dave Martin of Denver, Colorado. She also leaves her 8 grandchildren, Bobby Morales, Melissa Hogan, Chelsea Smith, Ronny Oswalt, Cheyenne Oswalt, Savannah Morales, Sierra Morales, Efrem Morales and 3 great grandchildren, James Morales, A.J. Finch, and Brylie Hogan. Yvonne took great delight in her grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved sister Sue Hosetter, niece Terri Hosetter, and nephew Devin Hosetter all of Waxahachie, along with many friends and extended family. My favorite times with Yvonne were when I would do a family dinner. All her kids would come home and we would have a great time. She really loved my cooking and often asked me to fix different types of meals, turkey dinner or ham dinner for Thanksgiving or Christmas, to taco salad, BBQ brisket and hamburgers with potato salad. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and begin living there lives. When our son Bobby graduated from high school, even though it was very hard on her physically, she made it to his graduation. It was important to her to see her first grandchild graduate. Christmas Eve 2010, we were all together and my daughter, Melissa, was due to have Brylie in 3 days by C~section. She told me and Melissa not to go off anywhere because Melissa was going to have Brylie on Christmas Day. I got a frantic phone call from Melissa's brother and one from Shawn because Melissa's water had broken and they were on their way to the hospital. Brylie was born around 8:00 AM Christmas day. Upon hearing this, Yvonne said "I told you". Yvonne was a wonderful nurse who knew her stuff. When I lost my mother in 2005, she listened to me cry till I was cried out. Told me to look up and pray, God would relief my sorrow, he would help me get through this time of lost and again in 2006 when my brother passed, she once again listened to me cry. Her advice was the same "Look up and pray." She valued education and often spoke to all of us, but mostly to her grandchildren, to go on to college. One grandchild is a truck driver, one is an insurance coder for a doctor's office, one is in college and, if I am sure of anything, she will continue to speak to, and encourage Cheyenne to finish college and get her degree. The others are still in grade school and high school, so there futures are still unknown, but she was proud of each and every one them.
