Willie Wise

Willie Joe Wise, 65 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 in Dallas. He was born to the late John and Lillie Mae Wise on December 27, 1951 in Ennis, Texas.

Willie attended Ennis High School where he played football and ran track. He was a loyal Ennis football fan. He worked for Glover Construction Company in Ennis and for the State of Texas, servicing rest stops. Willie was a member of the Waxahachie Bible Church where he attended the Men's Sunday School Class. He faithfully attended Alcoholics Anonymous on John Arden in Waxahachie. Willie made friends just about everywhere he went and he leaves behind many who will miss him.

He is survived by his auntie, Lula Mae McGowan and uncle, (Cleo); his nephews, Vincent Sallie and his wife, Na'Kia Crenshaw and Wayne Morris; his nieces, Regina Henderson and Thelma Morris; his great nieces, LaTeefah Johnson and husband, Tayran and Tayla Thompson; great nephew, Vincent Sallie, II; special Cousin, Ollie Griffin; special friends, Pastor Bruce and Shelia Zimmerman, Gary Campbell and Ronnie Potter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lillie Mae Lister Wise and John Wise; also by his three brothers, John Edward Wise, Jimmie Ray Wise and Floyd Morris.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at the Ennis Memorial Cemetery, Ennis, Texas.

Visitation for family and friends will begin at Noon on Saturday at the Waxahachie Bible Church and will last until service time.
