William Loyd Tipton May 20, 1914 June 04, 2011 William Loyd Tipton, 97 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, June 04, 2011 in Corsicana, Texas. He was born to the late William Otis and Lucy McKenzey Tipton on May 20, 1914 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Waxahachie, a member of the Key Sunday School class at First Baptist and a longtime member of the Waxahachie Senior Citizens Group. He is survived by his son and daughter in law: David and Paulette Tipton of Corsicana, Texas; 1 Daughter and Son in Law: Karen and Jim Hickman of Belton, Texas; 5 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren: He was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Tipton in 2004, 1 Brother: Charlie Tipton, 2 Sister: Pauline Ward and Martha Bell Queen and his parents. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, June 09, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 08, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
