William Robin Jenkins, 64, of Waxahachie, did his final two wraps and a hooey on December 8, 2018. Robin was born in Waxahachie on July 27, 1954, to Merline and Joe Jenkins. He was a lifelong resident of the Waxahachie, Forreston, and Italy area. Robin was known to many as a well-dressed, tall, and handsome cowboy. He came from a bull riding family and did his fair share of 8 seconds. Robin graduated from Italy High School where he was known as a football quarterback and “hot hands” on the basketball court.
Left to cherish and share his memories is his wife, Laurie Jenkins; his father Joe (Lois) Jenkins; his children: Jessika Jenkins, Bryan “Joey” (Suzanne) Jenkins, Traci (Albert) Martinez, Wendy (Michael) Thrash, Mark Kline, and Robbie Kline; his siblings: Sherry Bowling, David (Brenda) Jenkins, and Rhonda (Alan) Kilburn; his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Josh, Addison, Kyrie, Kaden, Morgan, and Kaden T; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Robin was preceded in death by his mother Merline Bearden Coker, his step-father Aubrey Coker, and Wilma Jenkins.
Robin was a man with a great sense of humor and a lover of many. He never wanted an enemy and always made the people around him feel the most special. This world is a little lonelier with him gone but we know he will always be watching over us.
