William Rippey

William Hugh Rippey, 87, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was born February 18, 1930 to B.W. and Lucille Rippey. "Bill" as he was known by most, married Mary Nell Almand in 1946. They were blessed with three children. Bill had a knack for cooking and opened Rip's Bar-B-Q during the 80's. Never being known to take it easy, he continued to work his remaining days and was a constant presence at Ace Hardware. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and each life he touched.

He is survived by his three children: Ronnie Rippey and his wife Glenda, Barbara Shaw and her husband James, and Bobby Rippey and his wife Shannon; five grandchildren: Shane White and his wife Shenna, Jamie Shaw, Tammy Guzman and her husband Alberto, Stephanie Rippey, and Kimberli Rippey. Great-grandchildren: Garrett White, Riley White, Cheyenne Watson and husband Aaron, Troy Goodwin, William Goodwin, Abigail Guzman, Jace Robinson, and Jaxen Robinson. Great-great-grandchildren: Lailah Watson and Jazlyn Watson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Rippey, and his parents, B.W. and Lucille Rippey.

There will be a graveside service Monday, August 14, 2017 at Lakeview Cemetery in Waxahachie at 10:30 a.m.
