William Timothy "Billy" Gleason Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on August 18, 1930 and went to rest in the arms of his Savior on March 18, 2018. A longtime Dallas, Duncanville and Ovilla resident, he was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in DeSoto Texas. Billy was a humble man who when asked how he was doing would always respond "Better than I deserve." He operated Apex Printing Company in downtown Dallas for 50 years and G & H Construction for 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend whose strong faith in our Lord and positive outlook influenced the lives of everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Stoebner Gleason, and his parents, William T Gleason Sr, Rose Marie Pomara Gleason Redding and Daywood James "Buster" Redding. Survivors include his brother Tommy Redding; children include his daughter Cathy Foshea and husband Bill of Midlothian, son Mike Gleason and wife Kerri of Waxahachie, son Chris Gleason and wife Debbie of Ovilla, daughter Anne Steiger and husband Joe of Ovilla; grandchildren include Jason Foshea and wife Brittany, Joel Foshea and wife Katie, James Foshea and wife Sarah, Mark Gleason, Kevin Gleason and wife Lesley, Christina Gleason, Adam Steiger and wife Christine, Sarah Steiger, Nick Gleason, Josh Gleason, and adopted granddaughter in Christ "Ruth" Tao Shanshan; great grandchildren include Emmy Foshea, Boone Foshea, Addy Foshea, Colton Foshea, Avery Gleason, and Ellie Foshea; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home at 1826 W. US 287 Business, Waxahachie Texas 75165 on Thursday, March 22nd from 6 PM to 8 PM. Services will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, located at 301 US 287 Bypass, Waxahachie, Texas 75165 on Friday, March 23rd at 10 a.m. with Pastor John De Young, Pastor Karim Baidaoui, and Pastor Russell Hildebrandt will be presiding.
Those serving as pallbearers include, Jason Foshea, Joel Foshea, James Foshea, Mark Gleason, Kevin Gleason, Adam Steiger, Nick Gleason, and Josh Gleason.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Buffalo Creek Assisted Living, Heritage Plus and Bristol Hospice for all their kindness and professional care during this difficult time.
