William Ballard

William Wayne Ballard, 75 of Forreston, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Dallas. He was born April 20, 1940 in Upson County, Georgia to the late Olin Thomas and Lillian Nixon Ballard.
Wayne loved the western lifestyle and was very gifted in handling horses. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed and continually loved.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ballard of Forreston; his children, Kim and Michael Hunter of Reston, VA, Sherry and Bobby McBride of Forreston, Rusty Ballard of Forreston and Tara Ballard of Jasksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Amanda Shay and Robert Junkin of Palmer, Gracie and Justin Johnson of Midlothian, Megan Hunter Scarmazzi and Jeffrey Scarmazzi of Salisbury, MD, Gail Marie Ballard of Stephanville, Emily Ann Ballard of San Marcos and Johnny Hunter of Reston, VA; his great grandchildren, Aria Junkin, Nate Junkin, Brandon Junkin, DJ Johnson, Landon Johnson and Makayla Johnson; he is also survived by his sister, LaVerne Ballard of Thomaston, GA; and his brother, John Wesley Hunt of Thomaston, GA.
Services to celebrate Wayne's life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Holiday officiating. Interment will follow at the Forreston Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
