Weldon Monroe "Bub" Booher, age 81
January 18, 1926
March 18, 2007

Mr. Booher passed away peacefully at his residence Sunday morning. He was born in Maypearl, Texas to George C. and Sallie (Berry) Booher. He married Virginia Parten, June 15, 1946 in Waxahachie. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie, member of the Men's Downtown Bible Class, and most recently attended the Waxahachie Bible Church.
He served in the US Navy as a Seaman 1st class in WWII. He was employed as a Banker for several banks for 39 years including Oak Cliff Bank and Trust, Citizens National Bank, Waxahachie Bank and Trust and Ellis National Bank retiring in 1986. He was a 50+ year member of the Waxahachie Masonic Lodge #90, 50+ years IOOF Waxahachie, and past member of the Waxahachie Optimist Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Booher; daughters, Brenda K. Deyo and her husband Rod, Lori A. Blevins and her husband Phil, all of Waxahachie; five grandchildren, Lance Haarmeyer, Randy Haarmeyer, Ami Trull and husband Jay, Ashley Oakley and husband Billy, and Alli Blevins; great grandson, Jackson Trull. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Clifton, Elmer, Thermon, Raymond, Douglas; and one sister, Evelyn (Sis) Wiggins.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Waxahachie Bible Church, Waxahachie, TX. with Brother Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Burial Park. Pallbearers will be: Dan Ed Morton, G.T. Morton, Milton Booher, Mike Donovan, Joe Booher, Mike Wiggins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Men's Downtown Bible Class, Horace Bratcher, Wayne McCollum, Dr. Nelson Jones, Jim Pitts and Peggy Loftis.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
