Wayne Stanford Owens, age 68
August 13, 1936
September 19, 2004

Mr. Owens passed away Sunday morning at his residence. He was born in Decatur, IL. to Harold and Mildred (Todd) Owens. HE graduated from Casey High School, Casey, IL.
Wayne received his BA from Eastern Illinois University, his Masters from Indiana State and his PhD from Indiana University. He served in the US Army. Wayne and Yolande "Mackie" McAden were married March 30, 1985 in Midland, Texas. He was owner of OM Assett Management Co.FDIC as Assett Management and for the last eight years was Financial Sector Analyst for Bearing Point, Inc. Mr. Owens was founder of Daniel's Den and was involved with Hope Clinic. He had been a member of Kingdom Life Christian Church since 2001.

Survivors are: his wife of 19 years, Yolande "Mackie" Owens of Waxahachie; his mother, Mildred Todd Owens of Jacksonville, IL.; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Jenny Owens, also of Waxahachie; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Butler of Germantown, TN. and Sarah and Mark McGee of Neighborville, IL.; one sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Don Souza of Jacksonville, IL.; one nephew, Jaye Suratt and his wife Lori of Jacksonville, IL.; aunt, Lucille Todd of Casey, IL.; four grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Butler, Keaton and Ellie McGee. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Owens and mother-in-law, Lola Pearl McAden on September 4, 2004.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Scott Kear officiating.
