Wayne Blatt

Wayne Koenig Blatt passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 with his wife and children by his side in his home in Waxahachie, Texas. Wayne was born August 12, 1925, in Bernville, PA and was the last survivor of his siblings Nora, William, Jennifer, Milton and Mabel.

Wayne was married to Helen Blatt since 1996 and is survived by his four children: son Kim Blatt and wife Lori, and daughters Melanie Bare and her fiancé Dane; Cheryl Krueger and husband Johnny; Kristi Heasley and husband David. Wayne was the proud grandfather of Nathan Blatt, Kiefer Blatt, Tanner Blatt, Hailey Barfield and husband Kyle; Kasey Biggs and husband Jarrad; Madison Heasley and Chloe Heasley, and the great grandfather of Emeri and Easton Barfield and Cooper Biggs.

Wayne proudly served his country as a Boatswain's Mate in the Navy during WWII and served in the Naval Reserve for several years after the war. He was a Transportation Attorney for the D.O.D. before his retirement in 2002. He was a member in good standing of the Cowboy Church of Ellis County, Waxahachie, Texas. Wayne was known for his sharp wit, friendly demeanor and his unbridled sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by the many people who he touched with his generosity and humor throughout his 92 years of life.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 17 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Highway 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX. Visitation with the family will be observed from 10-11am followed immediately by the funeral service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Blatt, Kiefer Blatt, Tanner Blatt, Kyle Barfield, Jarrad Biggs and Wayne Burnett.
