Warren Nathan "Shorty" Culp September 20, 1927 August 16, 2011 Warren Nathan "Shorty" Culp, 82 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Dallas. He was born to the late Jeff Nathaniel & Anna Lois Geeslin Culp in Hermleigh, Texas on September 20, 1927. Shorty was a assembly line worker for Ford Motor Company from 1953 to 1970 when he retired, he then went to work at Owens Corning Fiberglass as a welder from 1971 to 1992 when he retired. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and was a Wildlife Hunter Safety Instructer for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Annalee M. Culp of Waxahachie, Texas; 3 Daughters & Sons In Laws: Nancy & Kenneth Arterbury of Whitesboro, Texas, Janice & Reginal Hargrave of Oakwood, Texas and Wynell & John Bounds of Caldwell, Texas; Grandchildren: Dwayne Arterbury of Whitesboro, Tx., Natalie Proffer and husband Daniel of Myra, Texas, Nickolas Hargrave of Oakwood, Texas, Nathaniel Hargrave of Dallas, Texas, 3 Great Grandchildren: McKenna Proffer, Augustus Arterbury and Anna Proffer. 2 Brothers: Robert Culp of Twenty Nine Palms, California and Waymon Culp of Whitney, Texas. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Unnamed Baby Culp of Somerset, Texas, Jeff Culp of Waco, Texas, Jameson J.B. Culp of Clifton, Texas. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
