Walter Ray Meazell, age 63

Mr. Meazell passed away early Saturday morning at his residence in Waxahachie.
He was born in Tool, Texas to Billie Ruth (Walton) Meazell and Walter Jefferson Meazell on June 4, 1942. He graduated from Malakoff High School and married Virginia Ann Bullard on November 15, 1963 in Waxahachie. Mr. Meazell was employed with International Extrusion as a maintenance mechanic for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was a member of the Forreston Baptist Church.

Mr. Meazell is survived by his father, Walter Jefferson Meazell of Tool, Texas; his wife, Virginia Ann (Bullard) Meazell of Waxahachie; two sons, Jeff Meazell and Dawn, of Waxahachie, and James Meazell and Darlene of Coleman, Texas. Three daughters also survive, Marlene Hollingsworth and Alvie of Bardwell, Texas, Tonia Smith and Randy of Waxahachie, and Cheryl McMillan and Shae of McGregor; Texas; a brother, Billy Dan Meazell of Mexia Texas; three sisters, Virginia Kelley of Tool, Texas, Betty Vasquez and Pete of Kemp, Texas and Karen Meazell of Tyler, Texas. Eight grandsons and three granddaughters, Shay Huddle, Beth Ann McMillan and Sara Renea Meazell, also survive.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, May 1, 2006, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at 10 a.m., in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, with Jerry Bloomfield and Todd Grimes officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey Watson, Glenn Archer, Rusty Scott, Chris Kimmons, Thomas Wiles, and Walter Henry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Meazell, Kent Hollingsworth, Chris Meazell, Kyle Hollingsworth, Chase Huddle, Harlan Smith, Kelly Hollingsworth, and Haden Smith.
Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.
