Volley Jaynes

Volley Jeff Jaynes, age 77, of Italy, Texas passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home Trinity Mission in Italy, a place where he lived and loved since August of this year. He was born November 03, 1939 to Henry Vollie and Sally Myrtis Tinsley Jaynes. Volley has been a barber since 1963 and was a very active member of AA, where he celebrated 34 years of sobriety. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him and loved him.

Survivors include his three sons: Jeffery Coleman Jaynes and wife Ivey of Frost, Texas, Philip Andrew Jaynes and wife Anne of Italy, Texas and Carl Henry Jaynes of Italy, Texas. Four grandsons: David Michael Mitchell of Cornelia, Georgia, Jack Jaynes and wife Ciera of Harker Heights, Texas, Carl Jaynes Jr. of Frost, Texas and Volley Jeff Jaynes II of Italy, Texas. Four great grandchildren: Michael's daughters, Brianna, Haley and Lynna, and Jack's and Ciera's son, Elias Jackson Jaynes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Henry Tinsley Jaynes.

Visitation with the family is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 02, 2017 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, November 03, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Italy with Rev. Ronnie Dabney officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove, Texas.
