She was in charge of the finances for the Auxiliary Thrift Store for more than 30 years. After her retirement from Haggars, she worked several years for Dr. James Fanning and also kept books for a number of businesses. What Virginia will be remembered most for is her sweet spirit and her selfless service to her family. She was well loved by all who knew her. From friends of her girls to friends of her grandchildren, everyone was welcome in her home for a snack and a huge hug. She was Meme not only to her grandchildren, but to all their friends, too. Virginia was loved by so many and will be truly missed. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Deyo and husband Rod and Lori Blevins and husband Phil; her grandchildren, Lance Haarmeyer and wife Brittany, Randy Haarmeyer, Ami Trull and husband Jay, Ashley Oakley and husband Billy, and Alli Rockett and husband Ray; also by seven great grandchildren, Cash Haarmeyer, Jackson and Jamison Trull, Eason, Corban and Hudson Oakley and Gavin Rockett. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years Weldon (Bub) Booher; her sister Dorothy Story; and also by her brothers Buster, Miles and Barkley Parten. The family appreciates the wonderful love and care Virginia received while she was a resident at Covenant Place in Waxahachie. It was truly home to her the last 4 years. Also, thank you to Bristol Hospice for the care provided to her as her illness progressed. You were all a blessing in her life.
