Virgie Gertrude Fleeman, 94 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Renfro Healthcare Center of Waxahachie. She was born to the late Robert Franklin & Clara Gertrude Jones Muirhead on May 8, 1914 in Maypearl.
Virgie loved her husband, Ernest P. Fleeman who preceded her in 1980. Together they enjoyed many things especially fishing and deer hunting. She enjoyed baking chocolate and coconut pies and was a very talented seamstress. Virgie was a life long member of Farley Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was very friendly, thoughtful and very gracious, having so many friends that loved her.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to all of the staff at Renfro Healthcare Center where she lived for 16 years, and to Family First Hospice for all of the wonderful care and love shown to Virgie and the family.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dona & John McCutchen of Waxahachie, Sherry Washington of Waxahachie, Johnny & Lou Bryant of Italy, Kenneth & Debbie Bryant, Jr. of Lancaster, Robbie & Martha Muirhead of Waxahachie, Warner Muirhead of Euless, and Pat & Charles Carr of Beaumont; her sister-in-law, Ivy Muirhead of Beaumont; numerous great nieces and nephews; and many friends that she loved very much at Renfro Healthcare Center.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest P. Fleeman; 2 brothers, Myrl Muirhead and J. R. Muirhead; and her sister, Martha & Kenneth Bryant.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Hillcrest Burial Park with Bro. Richard Smith officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
