Vernadene Clegg, age 71

Mrs. Clegg passed away Wednesday morning at her Waxahachie residence. He was born in Sherman, TX. to R. C. and Otha (Pate) Caraway. She was an information switchboard
operator for Southwestern Bell. She had lived in Waxahachie since 1955 and was a member of the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle of Duncanville.

She is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth W. and Barbara Clegg, SR., of Waxahachie, Ricky and Darcey L. Clegg of Amarillo and George S. Clegg of Gatesville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Charlie Fettet of MS.; brother, C. Ray Caraway of Nashoba, OK.; cousin, Jolene Grindel; two grandchildren, Kenneth Clegg, JR. and Alan Alejandre. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George H. Clegg in 1997.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, December 19, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend David Peacock of First Baptist Church of Maypearl officiating. Pallbearers will be Nick Riojas, Joe Moreno, JR, Steven Moreno, Greg Compton and Robert Schumacher.
