Vernon "Vern" Merle Henneke, 62 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 in Breckenridge, Colorado on a business trip. He was born to the late Vernon Loren and Betty Shorter Henneke on January 12, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma.
Vern loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Family was extremely important to him. He enjoyed horses, sports, and Nascar. Vern leaves behind so many who loved him and will miss him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy Henneke of Waxahachie; his daughter, Maven Gardener and her husband, Dustin of Ft. Benning, GA; his sister, Patje Lentz and her husband, Tom of Enid, OK; his brothers, Fred Henneke and his wife, Denise of Kerrville, and Don Henneke and his wife, Jody of Stephenville; his 2 grandchildren, Dawn and Conner Gardner.
Services to celebrate Vern's life are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Christ The King Lutheran Church.
The family has requested that donations be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church, 301 West Hwy 287 Bypass Waxahachie, Tx 75165.
