Vera Mae Estepp, 91 of Italy, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at Trinity Mission Nursing home in Italy. She was born to the late Edward Lee and Arlie V. Williams Skelton on April 16, 1917 in Afton, Texas.
She loved quilting and playing cards. One of her quilts that she was most proud of won the blue ribbon in County and State fairs in Arkansas. Vera was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church where she was a member of the Naomi Class. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Estepp and his wife, Flo of Fayetteville, Ark, Perry Estepp and his wife, Margaret of Waxahachie; 20 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; and 51 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee & Arlie V. Williams Skelton; her husband, Marvin Estepp, her daughters, Judy Fulfer and Nancy Melton; and 4 brothers & 3 sisters.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Farley Street Baptist Church. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Services in Lamar, Arkansas will be held at the Lamar Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service time.
