Henry Truitt Berrier, age 92

Mr. Truitt Berrier, lifetime Ellis County resident, passed away Monday at Pleasant Manor Living Center, Waxahachie. He was born in Maypearl, TX. to Henry and Mary (Beckner) Berrier. Truitt graduated from Maypearl High School and married Lorene Wright in 1937. Mr. Berrier was the former owner of Waxahachie Feeder's Supply (now Boyce Feed and Seed) and ranch manager for Dr. John David King. Truitt retired from Cargill Corp as manager in 1978. He was a former City Council Member and 32 degree Mason Local Lodge #90. Mr. Berrier was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie and the Men's Downtown Bible Class.

His survivors include: sons, Lucien Berrier of Boulder, CO., J. Keith Berrier of Lakewood, CO., and Steven E. Berrier of San Diego, CA.; daughter, Sandra Berrier Fowler of Lubbock, TX.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorene, on November 11, 2005; brother and four sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives 9-11 AM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be at 11:30 AM graveside services, Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Dr. Shane Kinnison officiating. Interment will follow.
