Troy Prewitt

Troy Amos Prewitt, 84 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Midlothian, Texas. Troy was born on January 30, 1931 in Itta Bena, Mississippi to the late Troy A. & Thelma L. Skelton Prewitt. He served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. After the service Troy went to work for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in Flint, Michigan as a crane operator until his retirement in 1983. He was raised in a large family of eight brother and three sisters, he loved his family, farming, hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Evelyn J. Prewitt, Son and daughter in law; Troy and Julie Prewitt, Daughters & sons in laws: Jeannie & William Duvall and Jennifer& Michael Davis; Grandchildren: Mary& Andrew, Jeremy, James, Connie, Lorrie & James, Jessica, Troy Joseph and one great granddaughter: Teagan; Brothers: Gerald & Gail Prewitt, Billy & Bertha Prewitt; Sisters: Thelma, Dorothy & Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandson: David, Brothers: LaDell, John, James, Jackie, Darnell, Yancy and Sister Bobbie Ann. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, November 05, 2015 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the Midlothian Health Care Center and Bristol Hospice for the care Troy received.
