Mr. Lockhart was born in Merigold, MS. To J. W. and Jennifer Fletcher Heck. He joined the US Army in 1942, serving in the European Theatre during WWII. He was a member of the St. Frances Catholic Church in Lancaster.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary Brown Lockhart of Red Oak; sons, Robert W. Lockhart and Paul Brown of Arlington; daughters, Loretta Vigil of CA., Geneva Lockhart and Debbie Cavey both of LA.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

The Memorial Mass Celebrating the Life of Mr. Lockhart will be 10 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the St. Frances Catholic Church in Lancaster. Entombment will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 102 Grove, Kaufman, TX. 75142.
