Troy Godfrey

Troy Charles (TC) Godfrey, 90 December 11, 1919 December 5, 2010 Mr. Godfrey passed away Sunday morning at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab. Center in Waxahachie. TC was born in Forreston, Texas to Thomas Sea and Mollie Ophelia (Hoover) Godfrey. He attended schools in Forreston and entered the US Army February 1942 serving his country during W.W.II. TC served with the 42nd Rainbow Division in both the European and Pacific Theaters. TC was the husband of Virginia "Tiny" (Watson) Godfrey, and they were married at the First Baptist Church of Forreston. They were members of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie, and TC was a member of the Men's Downtown Bible Class. He retired from CNB after 25 years employment. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Tiny) Godfrey, several cousins and friends including: Ann Breeding, James B. Toone, Joanna Lattery, Kay Longerbone, Tim Dowdle, , Mike Harwell, Dorothy Forbes, and Richard Todd, Pam Stoker. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Wednesday Morning, December 8, 2010 at the Forreston Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Lemon officiating.
