Tony Milton Smith, 71 of Waxahachie, was called to be with the Lord on Monday, September 7, 2009 in Waxahachie. He was born to the late Milton and Ora Mae Smith on March 14, 1938.
Tony was a member of the University Assembly God Church and worked at the Waxahachie Daily Light for 18 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jan Smith of Waxahachie; his daughter, Vickie Conrad and her husband, Robert of Hamilton; his son, Robert Smith of Denison; his step son, Kevin Lightfoot of Waxahachie; step daughter, Leslie Motter and her husband, Gary of Blooming Grove; his sister, Linda Fisher and her husband, Lawrence of Waxahachie; his granddaughters, Jasmine Holder of Richardson, Ashley Lightfoot of Berry, Texas, Stephanie Hill of Corsicana; his grandsons, James Holder of Waxahachie, Kyle Motter of Blooming Grove; and his great granddaughter, Kylee Hill of Corsicana; and his very special friends, Wilma and Jerry Holder.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Mae Smith; his father, Milton Smith; niece, Lisa Fisher; father in law, Leroy Blaisdell and mother in law, Ruth Blaisdell.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sullivan and Rev. Jerry Holder officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
