Tommy Loyd Stringer, age 57

Mr. Stringer passed away early Tuesday morning at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. He was born in Hillsboro, TX. to Elbert David and Faye (Neagle) Stringer. He served in the USAF; having enlisted December 1963 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio and was honorable discharged in 1968. He was a member of the American Legion and had been a contractor for Home Depot for several years.

Mr. Stringer is survived by: his wife, Brenda Stringer of Waxahachie; mother, Faye Weaver of Garland, TX.; mother-in-law, Bobbie Hill of Waxahachie; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Shana Vaughn also of Waxahachie; daughters and their husbands, Shelley and Coy Werner of Garland, TX., Lisa McLeod of Navada, TX., and Stacey Stringer of Wylie, TX.; brothers, Ray Stringer of Garland, TX. and Michael David Stringer of Huntsville; sister, Pat Rowan of Rowlett, TX.; uncle and aunt, Loyd and Ellen Neagle of Hutchins, TX. and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Thursday in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Gary Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Rowan, Dwayne Rowan, Coy Werner, Beau Stringer, Ray Stringer and Chris Acker. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
