Thomas “Tommy” Alton Hollabaugh passed away on February 19, 2021. Tommy was born on September 24, 1936 to Alton and Zelda Hollabaugh in Dallas, Texas. He attended school in Dallas until his senior year when he moved to Waxahachie. He graduated from Waxahachie in 1955.
Tommy joined the Army National Guard in July of 1957. He married his loving wife Wanda on August 2, 1957. They stayed in Waxahachie and raised their family. Tommy worked for Ball Foster for many years and would retire from there. Throughout the years, he enjoyed coaching little league baseball and bowling. He would go on to pass his love for bowling onto his son and grandchildren.
Tommy is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father Alton Cleo Hollabaugh, his mother Zelda Hollabaugh, his loving wife Wanda, his sister Mary Nell Griffin, and his great granddaughter Brystol Lynn Hollabaugh. Tommy is survived by his son Keith Hollabaugh, his granddaughter Jamie Rowl and husband Torrence, his grandson Brandon Hollabaugh and wife Sara, and his sister Shirley Terry. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Makayla, Braylen, Hunter, Payton, Kainen, Paxton, and Marshal, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends who all know him as Grandad.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Tommy’s granddaughter Jamie who is fighting cancer.
