Tippy Colella

Tippy Lynn Colella, 67 of Waxahachie, went to be with the Lord on Saturday April 28, 2018. He was born April 16, 1951 in Jasper, Alabama

He is survived by his wife, Janie Colella; his sons Jeff Clark and wife, Brandi, Curtis Prophet, Chad Thedford and wife Kim; his daughter Christie Foust; his brother Rocky Gilliland and wife, Terri; his sister Patsy McCarter; his grandchildren, Shawn Foust, Casey Cliston and husband, Alex, Robert Ramsey and wife, Korri, Tanya Prophet, Alexis Turpen and husband, Matt, Makayla Foust, Ty Clark, Brinlee Clark; his great grandchildren, Jordan Foust, Lucas Pruitt, Rhylie Ramsey, Samuel Haynes, Benjamin Haynes, Silas Foust; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Pasqually Colella; mother Geneva Colella Thomas; son Craig Thedford; brother-in-law Jerry McCarter.

Tippy retired as Director of Security from Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he worked for 20 years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, spoiling his wife of 33 years, and horse racing. He will be truly missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday May 4th, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Pat Boze memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Chaplain Sam Spence officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
