Tom died in Kaufman, TX. in his sleep in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 27.. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA. on August 2, 1956 to his mother Lillie Mae Daniel and father Neily Roy Kight. Tom attended the University of North Texas for two years. He worked almost the last 20 years of his life in car sales and leasing. Although his work consumed a lot of his time and energy, every step he took was for his three children, for whom he loved above all else.

Tom had two older brothers, Jaque Frazell of Plano, TX. and Danny Frazell of DeSoto, TX. His younger sister Carla Cargile resides in Amarillo, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandmother and grandfather. Tom leaves behind his adoring daughter, Patricia Gayle Kight of Kaufman, TX.; his loving eldest son, Jonathen Thomas Kight of Plano, TX. and baby son, Joseph Anthoney Kight of Kaufman, TX. He also leaves his cherished grandson Kasey and Papa's little sweetie (granddaughter), Jocelynn Lily.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7-9 PM Sunday at the Red Oak Funeral Home.
The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Monday, July 3, 2006 in the chapel of the funeral home with Dwayne Scott officiating. Pallbearers will be Jonathen Kight, Joseph Kight, Clarence Pitts, Brad Pitts, Jedthus Pitts and Curtis Selman. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwayne Scott. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
