Mrs. Born passed away Sunday morning at Trinity Missions in Italy, at the age of 93. She was born April 22, 1913 at Plum Grove, Texas to Joseph R. and Sally May (Odom) Hester. Mrs. Born was reared, educated and worked in Italy and Waxahachie. After retirement, Mrs. Born spent many happy hours in her primary interest-painting and traveling. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Italy.

She is survived by: son and daughter, John and Patricia Born of Waxahachie; daughter-in-law, Jean; brothers, Charles Hester of Midland and Dick Hester of Waco; sisters, Marie Fellers of Sanger, Pegge Bradford of Lubbock and Linda Golliheair of the Woodlands; grandchildren, Randy, David and Kim; great grandchildren, Ty and Meredith; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph R. and Sally May Hester; husband, John; son, Kenneth; grandson, Johnny; sisters, Mildred and Geraldine; brothers, Jimmy, Thomas Grady, Buddy, and Harold.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Thursday, January 04, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Dabney officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Italy or First Family Hospice.
