Terry Brown

The Life of a King
Terry Lynn Brown, born on March 24th 1961 in Jacksonville, Texas to Norvell Dean Brown II and Vera Lois Brown, was a member of Samaria Baptist Church all during his childhood days, where he was baptized. He played basketball and football for Waxahachie High School in Waxahachie, Texas, where he graduated in 1979. Terry obtained his Associates degree at Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas and graduated with honors. He began his lifetime career at Owens Corning in 1979 as in Industrial Mechanic. While serving forty-two years at Owens Corning, Terry held numerous positions in the Union. He started off as a Shop Steward and then went on to become Maintenance Representative on the Business Committee. He also served as Financial Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President for two terms. Terry was also Co-Captain on the Emergency Response Team for many years. In 1983 he met the love of his life, LaTonia. They married and had four children, ShaTerrian, Mario, Alonzo and Sierra. He moved to Lancaster in 1992 where he lived for 12 years before moving to his home in Desoto, Texas. Terry Lynn Brown will be remembered as an astounding man. A husband, grandfather, father, brother, friend, and mentor.
