Sue Gerken Todd, age 88
July 27, 1916
November 17, 2004

Mrs. Todd passed away Wednesday in Grandview. She was born in Ellis, KS. To John and Nell (Canada) Gerken. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and attended SMU. She and Robert Carroll Todd, Jr. were married October 28, 1939 in Dallas. They moved to Waxahachie in 1950 where they raised their four sons. Sue was a Secretary/Bookkeeper for the Ellis County Clerk's Office, local accountants and CPA'S and First Christian Church. After retirement she was a self employed antique dealer for ten years. She was a Chi Omega and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Sue was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class for over fifty years.

She is survived by: sons, Bob Todd and wife Shirley of Bridge City, TX., John Todd and wife Diane, Richard Todd and wife Laurie, and Don Todd, all of Waxahachie; sister, Nellie O'Connell of Dallas; grandchildren, Suzanne Laviolette and husband Kevin, Mandy Buchanan and husband Clay, Sarah Kurz and husband Cory, Kristen Todd, Katrina Campbell and husband Nick; great grandchildren, Reed Laviolette, Clair Ann Laviolette, Joseph Kurz and Makayla Campbell. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Carroll Todd, Jr.; and sister, Edith Gerken.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday, November 19, 2004
in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Richard Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Reed, Joe Jenkins, Jimmy McAdams, John Pharis, Mike O'Daniel, Harold Barnard, John Bridges and David Lewis. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
