Sue Ellen Pierce of Italy, Texas passed away at the age of 55 at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas on March 12, 2004. She had been a dialysis patient for 29 years.

Sue Ellen was born on September 4, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Lillian Finke. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and was of the Catholic faith. She won the Spaghetti Cook Off in Italy, Texas three consecutive years and retired undefeated.

Left to cherish her memories are one son, David and Kim Pierce of Waxahachie; two daughters, Tammi Sue Pierce and Logan Potter of Italy, Texas and Mary and Eugene Gonzales of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Brandon, Caitlin, Amber, David, Steven, Andrew, Nick, Daniel, Marcus and Robert; one brother, Harry and Kathy Finke of Chicago, Illinois; and one aunt, Florence Carlton also of Chicago, Illinois; many cousins, nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Italy Cemetery.
