Steve Munoz was born in San Antonio, TX on May 20th, 1938 and passed away on August 3, 2020.
Preceding Steve in death are his parents, Steve and Margaret Munoz and his sister, Sylvia Cortez.
Steve is survived by his wife, Jean Munoz of 63 years, along with his children Elizabeth Jean Mooneyhan of San Antonio, Steven and Connie Munoz of San Antonio, Larry and Lori Munoz of Red Oak, Charles and Leesa Munoz of Palmer; grandchildren Richard Munoz, Felicia Seal, Karen Munoz, Steven Munoz, Jr, Benjamin Munoz, Zachary Munoz, Samantha Munoz, Traci Munoz and fiancé Dietrich Albrand, Christi & Kris Crich, and Jaimi Munoz; great grandchildren Elizabeth, Chris, Ricky, Sebastian, Destiny, Marissa, J.D., Skyler, Jesse, Alexis, Joseph, Lola, Blayne, Kyler and Jaxon.
Steve is also survived by his siblings Reynaldo Munoz, Henry Munoz, Hector Munoz, Carlos Munoz and Margie Ramirez, their spouses and many nieces and nephews.
Steve worked as an electrician for many years at LaFarge Corporation in Dallas. After retiring from LaFarge, Steve worked for the United States Postal Service for several years.
Called Grandpa by many, Steve was known for the great love he had for his family, telling silly jokes and taking pictures (whether you wanted him to or not). Many will also remember Steve for the nicknames he gave them, the smile he always had and making everyone feel welcome.
A rosary and memorial service will be held for Steve at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX on August 15th at 2:00 pm. Due to Covid restrictions the maximum capacity for the service is 50.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association.
