Steve Gann was born September 12, 1947 and passed away July 26, 2015 at the age of 67 due to complications of Alzheimer's. He is survived by his wife, Janie, a daughter, Shannon Gann Bush, a son, Jay T Gann and his wife Christina, 4 grandchildren, Brandon and Lauren Bush and Katie and Brady Gann. He is also survived by his two sisters, Alvina Worley and Jeanie Smith and several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Gann and his mother, Dorothy Gann. Steve is a 1965 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School and attended East Texas State University and DBU. Steve was a master plumber, a home builder and a sixth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. His karate started as a hobby and quickly became his passion having owned karate schools in DeSoto, Duncanville, Waxahachie and Maypearl. Per Steve's request, he will be cremated and there will not be a funeral/memorial service. There will be a family/friends memorial visitation Thursday, July 30th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
