Mrs. James Budd Lee, Jr. passed away passed away Monday morning at her Waxahachie
residence. Stannie Lometa was born December 7, 1908, in Holland, TX. to parents, John W. and Molly Moss. She married J.B. Lee, Jr. on November 25, 1933, and resided in Waxahachie for seventy-one years. She was a loyal member of the First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie where she taught Sunday School for thirty years in the Youth Department. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and also the Eastern Star.
Stannie Lee as an accomplished seamstress and avid bowler. She bowled in local state and national tournaments until the age 93. She was a long time sports fan of the Rangers, Mavericks, and Cowboys.
Mrs. Lee will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Charley Wilson of Waxahachie: son and daughter-in-law Dr. James Morris and Shirley Lee of Tyler. Also remembering their wonderful times with "Grannie" are eight grandsons: Greg and Jolene Lee, Jeff and Julie Lee, John and Leigh Lee, Robert and Janice Lee; Darrell Wilson, Justin and Denise Wilson, Lyndon and Teresa Wilson and Clint and Suzanne Wilson. She was also "Grannie" to eighteen great-grandchildren: Lindsey, Josh, Ryan, Reid, Micahla, Jessica, Audrey, Rachel, Nicole, Hannah and Jennifer Wilson; Chase, Anna, Caitlin, Reagan and Jacob Lee and Jordan and Payton Roberts. Her surviving sisters and brothers are Marie Bridges, Grady Moss, Leo Moss, Toy Allison and Iris Johnson; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. B. in 1970; one brother, Lester Moss; and three sisters, Velma Burditt, Zelma Barber and Wynn Aday.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie, with Dr. Richard Reed and Reverend Mary Nell Partin officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank McCoy, Edwin Farrar, John Bridges, Mike Allison and Wesley Class Members. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church, 505 W. Marvin, Waxahachie, TX. 75165.
