Simon Lopez Arciba

Simon Lopez Arciba, born on February 28, 1942, in George West, Texas passed away on October 5, 2024 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 82. He is known for his hardworking, strong, brave, funny, and caring personality. Simon led a life marked by dedication and warmth.

Throughout his life Simon was a committed farmer, a career that showcased his deep connection to the land and his community. His work not only supported his family but also strengthened the bonds within his community.

Simon was a beloved husband of 61 years to Ofilia Arciba, and a cherished father to Sandra Galetka husband John, Simon Arciba Jr., Roy Arciba wife Betty, Eddie Arciba wife Elena, Joe Arciba, Jo Ann Ortega husband JR, Andy Arciba wife Lettie, and Rachel Arciba.

He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Narciso and Sophia Arciba, and brothers Narciso Arciba Jr., David Arciba, Miguel Arciba, sisters Catherine Cuellar, Paula Gonzalez, San Juantia Gutierrez, Elena Aleman, and Victoria Garcia.

Simon will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his sense of humor and his unwavering strength. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Services to celebrate and honor his remarkable life will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. A heartfelt rosary will take place on Thursday at 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity for reflection and remembrance. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM, as we come together to share our love and memories.
