Silvia Vasquez

Silvia Vasquez, 54 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011. She was born on October 5, 1956 in Cerritos, SLP Mexico. Silvia loved gardening and cooking for her friends and family. No one ever complained about being hungry at her home. She loved everyone and loved being a care-giver to all those she loved. She and Lupe spent time in LaFeria, Texas before making their home in Waxahachie. Silvia was a true samaritan, always helping those in need. She leaves behind so many who will forever love her and miss her. She is survived by her loving husband, Guadalupe Vasquez, Sr.; her daughters, Blanca Vasquez and Veronica Vasquez; her sons, Rogelio Vasquez and his wife, Tina Garcia, Guadalupe Vasquez, Jr., and his wife, Marie Negrete; her father, Regino Zamarripa; 4 brothers and 4 sisters; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Zamarripa-Alejo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
