Sheri Kay Corbin Fearis, age 43

Sheri Kay Corbin Fearis was welcomed into the presence of her Lord on April 25, 2005, following a four year battle with brain cancer. Now she no longer suffers, but is whole and sitting at her Savioré�'s feet. She was born August 9, 1961 in Gainesville, TX., to Roger and Melveene Corbin. After graduating from Waxahachie High School in 1979, she attended Baylor University for one year. She married David C. Fearis March 21, 1981 and graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University in 1983 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. After graduation they moved back to Waxahachie.
Sheri worked for the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce from 1983 until 1986 where she was instrumental in making the Chamber the success that it is today. After a short time at the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce, she joined her husband in his business for several years and chose later to stay home with their children. She taught music at Cornerstone Christian School and was employed by Varsity Spirit Fashions. Sheri was involved in her community including the Junior Service League and the Eta Omega chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Her love for her Savior was expressed in her service to her church family where she led praise and worship and directed choirs for special occasions. She also participated as a platform guest with the Best of Friends Trio for the Bill Glass Ministry, and performed at the Johnny High Music Review and corporate functions.
Her love for music was only preempted by her love for Jesus and her family. She is survived by her high school sweetheart, Cam Fearis, and her loving children: Cami, Garrison, and Galen Fearis. She is also survived by her parents, Melveene and Bill Dixon of Waxahachie, TX.; Roger and Becky Corbin of Midlothian, TX.; her brother,
Mason Corbin of Azle; her parents-in-law, David and Shirley Fearis of Waxahachie, TX.; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Buddy and Iva Gibson of Saint Jo, TX., and mother-in-law, Audrey Fearis of Waxahachie, TX.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the Midlothian Bible Church, 4250 FM 663, Midlothian, TX. with Dr. Dave Wyrtzen officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Knott, Dale Vaughn, Stan Baucum, Jerry Brooks, Garrison Fearis, Galen Fearis, Mason Corbin and Charlie Skaggs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Wilson and Austin Hughs. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Midlothian Bible Church.
