Scot Lawson McCully December 19th, 1962 – January 22nd, 2025 

Scot Lawson McCully passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2025. He was born on December 19th, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas to Joseph Lee and Catherine McCully. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Thomas Evans, sister-in-law, Shelia McCully, and JoAnne McCully.

Scot was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Scot loved many genres of music and was a devoted Christian.

Scot is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Oliver, her husband, Christopher Oliver, and grandsons Judah and Caleb Oliver of Norman, Oklahoma. Scot is also survived by his sister Donna Namdar of San Diego, California, brother Alan McCully of Waxahachie, Texas, sister Karen Evans-Johnson and husband, Rev. Dr. Richard Johnson of McPherson, Kansas, and brother, Kevin McCully and wife, Suzanne McCully of Spring Branch, Texas.

Scot was uncle to Julie and Jody Mangum, Jason Turner, Kristina Evans, Victoria Evans, Jasmine and Tyler Renzi, Roxanna and William Maher, and Richard and Alison McCully. Scot was also great uncle to many grandnieces and grandnephews. He also left behind loyal friends.

Scot was known for his favorite saying “Keep Smiling” 😊. His family and friends know he is indeed smiling down from heaven. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
