Sarah Virginia Brooks passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011. She was born in Waxahachie, Texas to John and Hattie Lou Bunch on November 2, 1915. Gina or "Mamaw Bill" is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Brooks Newsom; her sisters, Peyton Middleton of Orange, CA, Mary Jo Odom of Waxahachie, and Betty Banks of Taylor, Texas; her grandchildren, Jimmy Brooks and his wife, Sharon, Jerry Brooks, D'Laine Folden and her husband, Brian; her great grandchildren, David Brooks and his wife, Jennifer, Wende Smith, Matt Brooks, Brittany Folden, Nicole Brown, Jake Brooks, and Chance Folden; her great-great grandchildren, Blaine, Baker, Rylee, Bayleigh, Ramsee, Trenton and Vance; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brooks; Son, Wendell Brooks; sister, Helen Ashton; and brothers, Johnny Bunch and Ed Bunch. Gina was also blessed to be "Mamaw Bill" to an extended family which include the families of Charles Newsom, Donald Daniell and Juanita Duke. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Sardis Cemetery with Wayne Duke officiating. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
