Mrs. Sara Sanchez, age 69, of Waxahachie, TX. passed away early Thursday morning at the Pleasant Manor Living Center. She was born in San Antonio, TX. to Eugenia Cruz and Refugio Vara. Mrs. Sanchez worked as a houseparent at The Texas Baptist Home and at the Presbyterian Home. She also owned and operated numerous restaurants, one being Sara's Deli.

Mrs. Sanchez is survived by: her husband, Macario (Mike) G. Sanchez, Sr. of Waxahachie; sons, Macario (Mike) Sanchez, Jr. of Sardis, Daniel V. Sanchez and wife Ann of Waxahachie, and special son, Rey Fernandez; daughter, Sylvia Rodriguez and
husband Ray of Sardis; grandchildren, Lydia, Macario (Mike) III, Beca, Ande, Emily, Mandy, Sarah, James; great grandchildren, Christian, Chelle, Hannah, Allison, McKenna; special grandchild, Max Moody; other family members include: Mary Tovar of Sardis, Pauline Vara of San Antonio, S. Ostenez and Velma Sanchez of Waxahachie, Doroteo Sanchez of Bakersfield, CA., Dora Sanchez of Waxahachie, Tony Sanchez of Austin, Julian and Josie DeLosSantos of Ballinger, Lupe Sorrells of Itasca, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, one sister, great grandchild, Katelyn Ramirez of CA.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Sunday, April 3, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Ray Rodriguez and Reverend Rafael Perez officiating. Pallbearers will be Junior Sanchez, Jacinto Arrendondo, Alfredo Arrendondo, Rey Fernandez, David Schilling and David Ramirez.
