Sara was diagnosed with Leukemia on December 1, 2007 and passed away March 13, 2008 at Children's Hospital in Dallas. She was in born Dallas to Gary E and Dorothy (Ashabranner) Beggs. Sara was a student at Maypearl High School where she was the beloved Mascot "Pearl The Panther", and played the French Horn with the Panther Pride HS Band. She was very active in the Ranch House Cowboy Church and was known as "Our Nine Toed Wonder".
She is survived by her parents Gary and Dorothy Beggs and her sister Deborah Beggs, niece Elizabeth "Marvin" Beggs and her beloved Pug, Aggie Beggs all of Maypearl; Maternal Grandfather and Step Grandmother, Rayburn and Zelma Ashabranner of Cedar Hill. Also surviving are aunts and uncles: Richard and Janet Farris of Ennis, Tommy and Pattie Ashabranner of Quilan, Bobby and Chris Ashabranner of Ferris, James and Joyce Beggs of Hampton, Virginia, Rickey and Cathy Beggs of Grand Prairie, Texas, and many, many cousins, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother "Granny" Louise Ashabranner of Cedar Hill, Uncle James "Randy" Ashabranner of Cedar Hill, and Paternal Grandparents J.E. and Bessie Beggs of Grand Prairie.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the Ranch House Cowboy Church, FM 66, Maypearl. The Celebration of Her Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Ranch House Cowboy Church, 7205 FM 66, Maypearl, TX. 76064, with Pastor Dave Wilkerson officiating. A Committal Service will be 2 PM Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Maypearl Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Harrell, Colton Steed, Cody Shepherd, Kyle Shepherd, Foster Schultz, David Schultz, and Kolton Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ranch House Cowboy Church Youth Group and the Maypearl Panther Pride Band.
Memorials may be made to the Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (501 ST JUDE PLACE, Memphis, TN 38105-1942), or the Ranch House Cowboy Church Youth Fund (7205 FM 66 Maypearl, Texas, 76064).
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
