Sammie Moore

Sammie Jacobs Moore, 95, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Ennis Care Center in Ennis, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10 AM at the Midlothian Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie.

Sammie was born on April 20, 1922 in Waxahachie, Texas to Tillman Hollie and Pearl Jacobs. She married Leslie Moore on September 13, 1946. She lived in Ellis County all of her life and worked in the garment industry. She resided in Midlothian until her husband's passing in 1991. Following his death, she lived with her sister, Bertha Patterson, in Waxahachie until Bertha's death in 2006.

Sammie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eloise Venable, Bertha Patterson and Mary Humphries; and brother, T.H. Jacobs.

She is survived by her sister and brother in-law, Billie Jean and Frank Croy along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne Boze Funeral Home of Waxahachie is in charge of the arrangements.
