Ruthie Earl Skipper, age 89

Mrs. Skipper passed away Thursday afternoon at Baylor Medical Center Ellis Co. Ruthie, better known as Earl to her friends and family, was born September 1, 1914, in the Mountain Peak community. She attended Mountain Peak School and graduated from Midlothian High School in 1933. Her twin sister, Pearl and her parents Walter and Lillie Morgan preceded her in death. She married the late James Eldridge Skipper on March 31, 1934, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was admired for her abilities as a cook, needlework artist and homemaker. Whatever she did was done to perfection. When needed, she was always available to go to the field and help with the farming. She was a
Member of the First United Methodist Church of Red Oak.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Joe Pitts of Waxahachie. Her grandchildren are Donna Palmer and husband Mark of Red Oak, and Marc Pitts and wife Victoria of Coppell. Her great grand children are Alex and Andy Palmer and Katelyn and Mason Pitts.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-9 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Saturday, May 8, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Mountain Peak Cemetery,.
