Rudy Mandel, Sr.

Rudy B. Mandel, Sr., lost his courageous battle with cancer on February 18, 2013. He was born on February 24, 1947 in Laredo, Texas to Gilbert & Olivia Chapa Mandel. Rudy worked for TXI for 43 years, he enjoyed hunting, patrolling his ponds for turtles and snakes enjoyed collecting guns, attending gun shows and following his grandchildren sporting events. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his 3 daughters: Ruby & Michael Miller of Fort Worth, Texas, Pinky and Kenny Ledbetter of Maypearl, Texas and Autumn Mandel of Maypearl, Texas. 1 Brother: Roman, 4 Sisters: Olga, Erma, Emma and Lila. 8 Grandchildren: Joseph Benevides, Chris Mandel, Sheldon Culbertson, Shay Culbertson, Cody Bankston, Bryton Ledbetter, Dwayne Ledbetter and Victoria Mandel Martinez. He was preceded in death by his son Rudy Mandel, Jr. in 1990 and 1 Brother: Robert Chapa. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. James Southard officiating. Interment will follow at Venus Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
