Royce Ashton

Royce D. Ashton, 74 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in Waxahachie. He was born on March 16, 1941 in Waxahachie, Texas to the late Herman O. & Elizabeth Daniels Ashton. Royce never met a stranger, he loved to visit, team roping and the cowboy life and loved his little dog Quaker. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his Sons: Dustin & Holly Ashton of Wilmer, Texas and Keith Ashton of Elizabeth, Colorado; 1 Daughter: Cherylle Ashton of Forreston, Texas. 1 Brother and Sister in Law: Gary & Margaret Ashton of Waxahachie, Texas. 2 Grandchildren: Bailee & Bradlee Ashton; 1 Niece: Megan Ashton of Waxahachie and 1 Cousin: Melinda Ashton of Waxahachie and numerous other cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 Granddaughter: Elizabeth Chance Ashton in 2010 and 1 infant sister. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie with Wayne Duke officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
