Roy Elmer Howell, age 92
October 8, 1910
February 27, 2003

Mr. Howell passed away Thursday morning at his residence. He was born in Stonewall County, TX. to Marion Augustus and Armenda Elizabeth (Arp) Howell. He was employed as a warehouseman for Briggs-Weaver of Dallas. Mr. Howell was a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church as well as the Waxahachie Senior Citizens.

He is survived by: his wife, Fay Howell of Waxahachie; three sons, Roy E. Howell, Jr. of Schertz, TX., Howard Howell of Rosemont, MN., and Melvin Howell of Waxahachie; three daughters, Janie Howell Dunavant of Red Oak, Mary Ruth Howell Wadsworth and Elaine Howell both of Irving; one brother, Dewitt Howell of Lubbock; two sisters, Elizabeth Howell and Unie Belle Green both of Lubbock; sixteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joe W. Howell in 1980, four brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10:30 AM Monday, March 3, 2003 at the Farley Street Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Clarence Wilson, Mike Green, Sylvan Beasley, Troy Flowers, J. W. Mauldin and Conard Yeats. Interment will follow in the Ferris Memorial Park, Ferris, TX.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
