Rosa Maria Stader(Grammy) November 23, 1938
January 29, 2009

Rosa was born November 23,1938 in Los Ebanos, Texas to Elida and the late Adan Flores. Rosa passed away Tuesday January 29th at Medical Center Lancaster surrounded by her family.

Rosa grew up in South Texas, graduated from La Joya High School, and in 1959 joined the United States Navy. She was stationed in Washington, DC as a radio operator. She was honorably discharged from the military, subsequently joined the Department of Defense as an auditor, and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Pepperdine University in Business Adminstration. After retiring, she returned to Texas and began working with her children as the accountant for the family business, MaiLogix. Additionally, she worked part time at Home Depot as an appliance specialist in Dallas and Waxahachie.
Rosa was married to Melvin Louis Stader for 24 years until his death in 1987. Grammy is survived by her children Deni Stader of Dallas; Chris Stader of Red Oak, Kelli Farris (Terry) of Bellbrook, Ohio; five sisters Norma Silguero (Joe) of Austin, Connie Cardenas (+Jesus) of La Joya, Vilma Salinas (Rene) of Sullivan City, TX., Maria Ruvi Barreiro and Melva Barreiro both of Bryan, TX.; two brothers, Adan Flores Jr. (Lilly) of Fort Worth. and Arnoldo Flores (Irma) of Frederick, Maryland. Rosa is also survived by her three beautiful granddaughters, Rachel Alexandra, Sarah Elizabeth and Abigail Grace Farris.

Visitation will be on Friday February 1, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial Will Be Saturday, February 2. 2008 at Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Red Oak Cemetery.
