Rosa Joslin

Rosa Leen Joslin, the fourth child of Frances and Ila Mae Harper, was born on July 5th, 1937 in Upshur County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Herbert Harper; her sister, Donnie Thompson and her husband, Charlie Joslin.

She met the love of her life, Charlie Joslin, in a little Pentecostal church, and from their union two children were born.

Her occupation in life was a home keeper and she loved seeing family and friends enjoying her home cooking. Many considered it an honor to have eaten at her table. Besides cooking she loved fishing, finding and collecting antique glassware. She was a shrewd business woman and she was very good at finding a bargain... She loved the Lord and she loved attending her church Calvary Tabernacle in Longview and thought very highly of her pastor AD Spears.

The good Lord called her home in the early morning hours of December 20th, 2015. She left behind a small shabby room to walk on streets of gold in glory.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Rita Joslin of Mesquite; son, Dr's Eddie (Shirley) Joslin of Waxahachie and granddaughter, Emily Joslin of Waxahachie; her sister, Wilda Daniels of Longview and numerous nieces and nephews.
