Ronald Rothermel

Our devoted husband, father, and grandfather is now home with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Pfiefly and his brother, Robert Rothermel. Ronald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth, his daughter Ellen Jaeggi and her husband Darryl, his son Douglas Rothermel and his wife Adrienne, his five (5) grandchildren: Frank Schiavo, Stefanie Barone, Julianna Rothermel, James Rothermel, and Sara Rothermel), his three (3) step grandchildren (Jessica Prochaska, Darren Jaeggi, and Aaron Jaeggi), his four (4) great grandchildren (Frank Schiavo, Dominic Barone, Lorenzo Barone, and Vincenzo Schiavo), and his six (6) step grandchildren (Dacodah Prochaska, Weston Jaeggi, Gunner Jaeggi, Paxton Becker, Izabell Becker and Lucas Becker).

Upon serving his country in the United State Air Force as a radio operator, Ronald graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering. He was a brilliant and accomplished engineer having designed and developed electronics for Aerospace, Medical Electronics, and Automated Welding Systems. He was an inventor and co-inventor of seven (7) patents and for a time was Chief Electrical Engineer for Dimetrics, Inc.

Ronald was loved and admired by many for his Christian witness and his association with family and friends. His devotion to serving Jesus Christ included a passion for singing in the church choir as well as serving in various ministries in his church. In recent years enjoyed bowling two days a week with his wife and many friends in senior leagues at Hilltop Lanes.

Ronald will be missed and fondly remembered both professionally and by his loving family and friends.

It was his prayer and firm desire that all his descendants and loved ones come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ his Lord.
