Ronald Reaves

Ronald M. Reaves, of Red Oak, TX passed away at home on Saturday, November 25th at 8:00 pm surrounded by his family. He was born on April 1, 1942 in Waxahachie, Texas to the late Myron Manville and Mary Jo Reaves and graduated from Terrell High School in 1960. Ron retired from Verizon and also from the Army Air Force Exchange Service. He, "Lobo", was a proud former member and President of the Buffalo Creek Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.). He loved fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, photography and spending time with his beloved family. Ron will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Mary Jo Reaves of Sheridan, Arkansas; and his former wife of 37 years, and the mother of his three daughters, Linda Reaves.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Judy Reed Reaves; daughters, Debbie McDonald, Kelly Reaves, and Lindsey Derry and her husband, Ronald Derry, all of Red Oak, Texas; stepchildren, Jeromy Schweitzer of Utah and Tawnya Matlock of Alvarado; father and mother in-law, Jim & Sharon Griffin of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua McDonald of Red Oak, Gavin Reaves of Chandler, Arizona, Ariel Derry of Red Oak, Bryce & Allyssa Wooten, and Maykenzie and Hayden Matlock, all of Alvarado; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie. Interment will follow funeral services in the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
